Plumbing System or Contaminated Groundwater


Response:

The smell is likely from hydrogen sulfide gas. You may need a hydrogen sulphide filter. Check if it's coming from only the hot water tap, or both hot and cold water. Then, contact us for water testing services.

My water is cloudy

My water is cloudy

Potential cause:

Trapped Air Bubbles, Turbidity


Response:

Try running the water in the sink or bathtub for a several minutes. If it doesn't clear up, we can investigate.


Call us - you may need a turbidity filter.

My water looks rusty

My water looks rusty

Potential cause:

Fire Hydrant Flushing; Water Main Breaks; Construction Work; High Iron Content


Response:

Run your water for 5 minutes to flush out the rusty water. Do not use the water for drinking or washing until it is clear. If the water does not clear up, contact Earthsmart Water Systems. You may need a softener or an iron filter.
